Vanesa i Amadeu

Objectified (2009)

Objectified is a feature-length documentary about our complex relationship with manufactured objects and, by extension, the people who design them. It’s a look at the creativity at work behind everything from toothbrushes to tech gadgets. It’s about the designers who re-examine, re-evaluate and re-invent our manufactured environment on a daily basis. It’s about personal expression, identity, consumerism, and sustainability.

What can we learn about who we are, and who we want to be, from the objects with which we surround ourselves? Read director Gary Hustwit’s post about the film. It is the second part of a three-film “design trilogy” by Gary Hustwit: Helvetica/Objectified/Urbanized.

Primer (2004)

Primer is a 2004 American science fiction drama film about the accidental discovery of a means of time travel. The film was written, directed, acted, edited, produced
and its music composed by Shane Carruth, a mathematician and a former engineer, and was completed on a budget of $7,000. Carruth's goal was to portray scientific discovery in a down-to-earth and realistic manner. He argued that many of the greatest breakthrough scientific discoveries in history have occurred by accident, in locations no more glamorous than Aaron's garage.
